Founded in 1994 by Kirsten and David Sauter, My Pet's Vet is a full-service veterinary clinic, located on the island of Martha's Vineyard in Vineyard Haven, Massachusetts. My Pet's Vet is a member of the Island Veterinary Emergency Services, a group made up of most of the local vets who share after hours emergency care needed in this busy island community.
Dr. Kirsten Sauter and the professional staff at My Pet's Vet seek to provide the best possible medical, surgical and dental care for their patients. Dr. Sauter treats canine, feline, equine and avian species with the help of her technician and veterinary support staff. We are here for all your animal needs, varying from flea and tick prevention to emergency and critical care.
We are located on State Road in Vineyard Haven across from the Island Cove Adventures mini-golf course and the Cape Cod 5 Bank, and only a few doors up from the "down-island" Cronig's Market and Healthy Additions. Come visit us at the clinic today, and bring your pets with you!
Dr. Sauter is known for her dedication to education, making it a staple that she and her staff stay up to date with the ever growing veterinary medical field. Some meetings she has been able to attend are the NEVMA in Portland, NAVC/VMX in Orlando, NIVMA in Newport, and she frequently sends her technicians to the local Massachusetts Veterinary Technician Association meetings. Most notably, Dr. Sauter and staff have been fortunate to meet the veterinary field's celebrities like Dr. Temple Grandin, Dr. Richord Ford, Dr. Howard Siem, and Dr. Andy Roark. Thanks to Temple Grandin'™s fear-free initiative, our clinic floors are made from a special material with traction for our elderly, handicapped, or fearful patients! Dr. Kirsten Sauter and Darci Whitney, CVT have most recently attended the NAVC conference of 2015, RIVMA 2016, RIVMA 2017, VMX 2018, VMX 2019, VMX 2021, RIVMA 2021, NHVMA 2022.
