Hello and Happy Summer 2021 to all of our amazing followers!
BREAKING NEWS:
Firstly, a GIANT CONGRATULATIONS goes out to our very own DARCI WHITNEY, CVT.
Darci has completed the extremely detailed and comprehensive Veterinary Technician National Exam with a high passing score!! AND, with the required eight years of on-the-job training..... Darci Whitney is now a licensed CVT of Massachusetts! She is a Certified Veterinary Technician! We are so proud of her and her dedication to the profession (her enormous amount of hours studying, for years, after a full day's work). We are thrilled to have her on our team. Her caring and compassion for pets and owners is unparalleled!
UPDATED PANDEMIC PROTOCOL:
To all our valued clients and patients...
Thank you for your patience through this pandemic and all the changes it’s forced on us, the veterinary professional, everywhere. Please support our decision to remain CURBSIDE this summer.
In the state of Massachusetts, veterinary clinics are considered essential. However, we were LAST in line for vaccinations. My staff is still not yet fully vaccinated, and won’t be for weeks. With the peak season upon us, I am still not comfortable opening our lobby to the public. Vaccines are a choice. Protocols are loosening. To ensure risks are minimized - we will remain curbside this summer.
I’m sorry for this inconvenience. Please understand, if a staff member were to test positive, we as a business would be shut down for a minimum of a week. That interruption in service to your pets is just NOT acceptable to me.
We have also added more staff to do our best to serve you outside. We really are trying our hardest to keep things moving smoothly. Thank you for your patience. These changes are not easy for us either.
When you arrive, you may :
*Text us at 508-503-8625
*Call us at 508-693-4040
*Knock on the door
We have so many windows, we may have already noted your arrival. Someone will be out as soon as possible to assist you.
Our office hours will also remain predominantly mornings.
Tuesday through Saturday, 8am until 12pm.
There will be some exceptions, and we often run over. However, mornings are the best time to reach us via phone.
Phone: 508-693-4040.
**Walk-in hours are canceled until further notice.
**The answering service will always connect you to the veterinarian on call in case of a life threatening emergency. You may call our line in order to reach the answering service.
Phone: 508-693-4040
**Severe emergencies may be directly diverted to Cape Cod Veterinary Service, as usual. They are located off the first exit after the Bourne Bridge.
Phone: 508-759-5125
**In case of overnight life threatening emergencies, you can also call the Patriot boat main office and charter a ferry off-island with the on-call Captain.
Phone: 508-548-2626
**You may leave us a direct message anytime via,
Email : mypetsvetmvy@gmail.com

We will see the message the next time we’re in the office. We will do our best to respond within 24 hours of seeing the question.
You can also request online prescription refills through our Shopping Cart on our website at mypetsvetmv.com. We have options for free shipping directly to your home. Also, our front porch has a pick-up box for prepaid pick-up items from our in house pharmacy.
For those of you who haven’t heard, we are no longer able to accept new clients. We are still gradually whittling away at the people who previously signed up on our waiting list. The list is now closed until further notice. We hold our standard of care for our patients very high, and if we take on too many appointments then we can not give the attention required (and deserved) to our already established, loyal clients. We hope that this is understood by everyone and the public.
Unfortunately, there is currently a national-wide shortage of DVM’s and CVT’s, so this is not anything that will be resolved soon. Please advise your friends and family to get established with an off-island practice for wellness care, as all island vets are at full capacity.
Please join us and like us on Facebook for further announcements and highlights.
Respectfully,
Kirsten Sauter, DVM
