Emergency InformationOn the island of Martha's Vineyard, we do things a little differently here. Living in a place dependent on a ferry, emergency care is a necessity. Most island vets are included in a group known as the Island Veterinary Emergency Services. The service provides life-and-death emergency care for those that can not wait for a ferry ride to a local emergency hospital on the Cape. Every 24 hours one veterinarian takes island-wide emergency care, sometimes split between small and large animals, so that everyone can be attended to. If you find yourself in an emergency, just call our line and you will be directed to the veterinarian on call.
